Q Can I have cover for things I take away from the home?
A Yes, you can extend your policy to cover personal belongings, valuables and money away from the home. It will also cover you if you leave an item, such as a musical instrument, at church and it is stolen during a break in.
Q Is the policy on a New for Old basis?
A Yes it is, apart from clothing and household linen.
Q Are my belongings covered if they are stolen from my car?
A Yes they are, providing they are concealed and locked in the glove box, luggage compartment or boot.
Q Are there any free helpline services?
A Yes there are. These are provided by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Ltd and include confidential legal advice, tax advice, health and medical information, domestic assistance in the event of an emergency and veterinary assistance if your pet is ill or injured.
Q Is there a Santa Clause?
A Of course there is. If you include the accidental damage section, then during the month of December and for a month either side of a family wedding your sum insured is automatically increased.
Q How can I make sure my sums insured are adequate?
A We can provide you with free assistance on how to calculate your sums insured, both for your contents and for the rebuilding of your home.
Q Are there any discounts available?
A Yes, we have a number of discounts that you may be eligible for. Simply contact us for a no obligation quotation and this can be discussed with you.
Q What happens if my home is uninhabitable due to a fire or flood?
A You don’t have to worry, because your policy will provide cover for the reasonable cost of alternative accommodation and storage of your contents.
Wedding Insurance
Q What happens if bad weather stops me from getting to the church on time?
A Your policy will cover you. We have hired a fleet of 4x4 vehicles to get through the snow.
Q What happens if the photographer doesn’t turn up?
A Your policy will cover the reasonable costs of having the photographs taken at a later date.
Travel Insurance
Q What will happen if I am ill and unable to go on my holiday.
A The policy will cover the cost of any pre-booked accommodation and pre-booked travel.
