John brings more than 40 years of experience across the financial services sector, with a career spanning a broad range of organisations and senior leadership roles. His expertise encompasses risk management, regulatory compliance, internal audit and governance. Since retiring from executive leadership in 2018, when he was the Chief Risk Officer for the Benefact Group, John has a portfolio of Non-Executive Director appointments, providing independent challenge, strategic insight and strong governance to financial services organisations. He is recognised for his balanced judgement, collaborative approach and deep understanding of regulatory expectations, and risk culture.
Outside the boardroom, John is a keen traveller with a passion for discovering unusual destinations, reflecting the curiosity and open-minded perspective he brings to both his professional and personal life.
