Methodist Property Owners insurance can include the following:

  • Property damage - protection for your buildings and contents of common parts in the event of fire, explosion, storm, flood, falling trees, vandalism, escape of water, vehicle impact, and forcible and violent theft. For residential properties, we also cover your loss of rent and alternative accommodation for residents where such premises become uninhabitable following insured damage.
  • Equipment breakdown - cover for a range of equipment, including lifts, boilers, and air conditioning systems.
  • Rental income - loss of income following an insured event under the Property Damage section of the policy. The cover includes the extra costs to minimise the loss of rent.
  • Public liability - with a limit of £5million, which can be increased upon request.
  • Employer’s liability - for liability claims made by employees and volunteers.
  • Legal expenses - legal fees, compensation awards, or appeal costs arising from a wide range of legal disputes. Legal fines cannot be covered by the policy.
  • Terrorism cover - including loss of revenue.
